July opening on tap for Allagash Scarborough at the Downs

Allagash Brewing Co. will expand its footprint beyond its Portland base with a second tap room set to open at the Downs mixed-use development in Scarborough this July. Allagash Scarborough will be located at 10 Market St., in a building that’s about 70% sold out, according to Ashley Risbara, marketing director for the Downs. Other tenants include Ameriprise Financial, Spurling Fitness and the Maine Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center, she told Mainebiz. While Allagash had originally planned to build a new tasting room on land it purchased at the Downs in 2022 and open in 2024, changing circumstances prompted the company shift gears and rent space in the new construction at 10 Market St.
