InterMed to build medical office and surgery facility in Scarborough

InterMed, an independent, physician-owned practice in Portland, said Monday it would partner with two medical real estate giants to build a medical office building and ambulatory surgery center at the Downs 577-acre mixed-use development in Scarborough. The two-story, 62,000-square-foot building, to be located in a future part of the Downs called the Town Center, was designed by E4H Architecture, or Environments for Health Architecture, a health care and health sciences firm headquartered in Boston. Scarborough-based Landry/French Construction is expected to start construction soon, with an anticipated completion in fall 2026.
